How TESTCALLS can help

Static on the telephone line. Calls occasionally disconnect. It does not always happen.

Bad copper pair on a line in your outbound hunt group. Problem appears random to user as they don't always get this line when making outbound calls. 

Calls special test module connected on site and listens for unexpected disconnect. Tracks which dialed number failed the most. 

Installed new phone system/voice mail system. Callers occasionally hear incorrect automated attendant message that was recorded upon install..  

Central office based voicemail service was never canceled when new telephone system was installed.

Turn off new voicemail system. Call your 8 line hunt 9 times simultaneously. Calls will roll to existing carrier based voicemail system. 

Sometimes when I dial out and get no dial tone.

Dead line "hole" in POTS line hunt group has been accessed. 

Calls each line late at night to verify answer via automated attendant.

Some calls ring past the operator.

Unexpected overflow or intercept programmed into PBX.

Makes a large volume of TESTCALLS to the main number to expose overflow.

4 port expansion to 4 port automated attendant (AA) does not cure occasional busy AA.

Ports 5 - 8 not properly installed and thus don't answer.

Run 3am TESTCALLS job of 9 simultaneous TESTCALLS to AA. Should get "AA" and 1 "BUSY"  

Phone company installed lines 7 & 8 to existing 6 line hunt group but still getting busy signal. 

Phone company installed lines but failed to add them to the existing hunt group.

Make 9 simultaneous TESTCALLS. Should get 8 answers and a busy.

Plumber's remote call forward (RCF) numbers all point to main office. Receives reports of busy signals to RCF but receptionist at main office states many lines are idle.   

One or more RCF numbers does not have sufficient forwarding paths to the main office. Should be three paths per RCF.

Run 3am TESTCALLS job of 4 simultaneous calls to each RCF. Should get three "AA" and 1 busy for each test.

T1 voice calls occasionally drop or have static. Problem is "random". T1 loop back tests run clean.

Not random at all. Channels 1 - 16 work fine. Channels 17 - 24 fail but call volume does not always reach this level. 

Run several sets of 3am high volume TESTCALLS test with 2 second call spacing to special test DID on PBX. Set ACD or UCD queue message to answer these calls with a TONE MODULE tone. TESTCALLS will report simultaneous call volume level that fails.      

Ported many telephone numbers to another carrier. After port, getting complaints from customers of un answered calls and modem tones answering calls.

Some numbers did not port. Other numbers ported to wrong location.

Before porting, run a daytime and a 3am profile on the numbers and save the results. Run again as soon as numbers port. Compare the files for discrepancies. 

Changed carriers and now get reports of some calls not ringing through. 

Old carrier or new carrier did not set database "triggers" correctly. 

Instruct TESTCALLS to make simultaneous calls via 3 separate carriers.   

Ordered 100 new DID numbers. Must verify NEW DID numbers work before ordering business cards.

Point all new numbers to automated attendant or special tone device attached to SLT port and make TESTCALLS.

TESTCALLS calls all numbers and verifies they answer as expected.
